Khagol Mandal has an  academic wing "Khagol Academy". The Khagol Academy is established with the purpose of enhancing the Astronomy related studies in schools and educational forums.

The Khagol Academy will help students and school teachers for better understanding of the Astronomy in syllabus and will aid the activities of Khagol Mandal, towards popularization of Astronomy.

In addition to this, Khagol Academy will guide students in the preparation of NSEA examination considered as entrance examination for participation in International Astronomy Olympiad.

Professor Mohan Apte, the reknowned personality in the field of Astronomy and author of many books on Astronomy and Popular sciences, will be the Honorary Chairperson of this Khagol Academy. Mr. Dilip Joshi, the founder members, has been nominated as Honorary Vice Chairperson of the Academy. Mr. Pradeep Nayak, the veteran Amateur Astronomer and Author of Books like Tarangan and Astronomy for Amateurs will assumes the responsibilty of Director (Acdemics) and Mr. Ravidra Kadam, the Vice President of Khagol Mandal will look after as Director (Admin).
