Astronomy Pro Am Meeting

The first international Professional-Amateur Meeting (ProAm 2023) will be held at Mumbai from 1st to 3rd December 2023. The meeting is under aegis of International Astronomy Union (IAU) and will be hosted by leading amateur astronomer group Khagol Mandal.

The International Astronomical Union is a non-governmental organisation with the objective of advancing astronomy in all aspects, including promoting astronomical research, outreach, education, and development through global cooperation. It was founded in 1919 and is based in Paris, France.



Khagol Mandal


Khagol Mandal is a registered Voluntary Organization formed by group of people in 1985. In past 38 years of service, name of Khagol Mandal is synonymous with amateur astronomy activity in this part of the country and it is branded as one of the most active Astronomy Popularizing Group. Organizing overnight sky sessions, evening sky shows, road side astronomy, lectures, workshops, Certificate Course: 30 hrs of Astronomy, quiz, Ask a question sessions and many such innovative programs.
